Course Objectives
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Opine on the core issues of energy science.
  • Analyze the historical dynamics of global energy system, the mechanism of substitution among energy resources and the future energy systems.
  • Interpret the present dynamics of international relations by examining the relationship between the energy policies of countries and global struggle over resources.
  • Analyze the effects of energy on global events such as environmental degradation and climate change.
  • Opine on the sustainable energy development and related policies.
  • Explain the roles of energy security which is the core determinant of countries energy policies, and the supply, demand and transit security of energy in countries policies.
  • Analyze the process of exploration, production, transportation, and end use of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas.
  • Analyze the impacts of countries’ renewable energy policies and the vital role of renewable energies on sustainable energy development.

1 To have a sound knowledge of the quantitative and qualitative methods that will help to examine the premises of different theories for an applied subject so that a contribution to solving current economic problems can be made. X
